Lappean Loma provides a wide range of activities throughout the year. This page shows you a few examples of the activities we provide. In addition to the programmes mentioned here, some activity programmes provided by Kylmämaa Tours can also be implemented at Lappean Loma. We also tailor programmes to suit your requirements. Historical Smoke sauna in Lappean Loma

The Lappean Loma smoke sauna is located in a naturally picturesque site along the Tornionjoki river.

It is a historically important building, as following the war it served as a bathing place for almost the entire village of Lappea, because almost no other buildings survived. The riverside sauna next to the smoke sauna has dressing rooms and washrooms. The smoke sauna experience is highlighted with dinner at Lappean Loma.

The charge for heating the smoke sauna is 230 € and price per bather is 16 €.

Things worth knowing about hiking, fishing and river trips

  • Hiking and trekking rates include services mentioned in a activity description. In Lappea starting point is in Lappean Loma.
  • River trips include the services mentioned in the programme and lifejackets.
  • Salmon fishing on the Tornionjoki and Muonionjoki rivers is permitted during the period 1 June – 31 August.
  • Non-fishing times are from 7 p.m. on Sunday through to 7 p.m. on Monday, a time when salmon fishing is forbidden.
  • The salmon quota is: 1 salmon/day/angler
  • In order to ensure the protection of the sea trout in the Tornionjoki River, any sea trout caught must be immediately released into the water dead or alive.
  • The minimum size for a salmon catch is 50 cm.
  • For your own safety, please take any possible necessary medications with you on the trips (asthma inhalers, insulin, heart medicines, etc.).
  • Cancellations of advance orders must be made no later than 48 hours prior to the commencement of the programme, otherwise the full price of the booking will be charged.
