Lappean Loma provides a wide range of activities throughout the year. This page shows you a few examples of the activities we provide. In addition to the programmes mentioned here, some activity programmes provided by Kylmämaa Tours can also be implemented at Lappean Loma. We also tailor programmes to suit your requirements. Salmon fishing school on the Tornionjoki river

The hooking of a whopper will make even the most experienced of fishermen shake with excitement.

This programme can be implemented during the period 1 June – 31 August, when salmon fishing is permitted. Fishing is forbidden from Sunday at 7 p.m. through to Monday 7 p.m.

In the salmon trolling course arranged at Lappean Suvanto you will learn the best salmon fishing spots, hear hints as to the best lures to use, and fully explore the secrets of salmon trolling with the help of the experienced fishing guide. The price of the trip includes the services of the guide, fully-fitted salmon fishing boat for the duration of the course, flotation jackets and fishing gear. PLEASE NOTE! This trip does not include fishing permits. Coffee and biscuits are served in the Lappean Loma cafeteria. The boat capacity is one plus guide.

Things worth knowing about hiking, fishing and river trips

  • Hiking and trekking rates include services mentioned in a activity description. In Lappea starting point is in Lappean Loma.
  • River trips include the services mentioned in the programme and lifejackets.
  • Salmon fishing on the Tornionjoki and Muonionjoki rivers is permitted during the period 1 June – 31 August.
  • Non-fishing times are from 7 p.m. on Sunday through to 7 p.m. on Monday, a time when salmon fishing is forbidden.
  • The salmon quota is: 1 salmon/day/angler
  • In order to ensure the protection of the sea trout in the Tornionjoki River, any sea trout caught must be immediately released into the water dead or alive.
  • The minimum size for a salmon catch is 50 cm.
  • For your own safety, please take any possible necessary medications with you on the trips (asthma inhalers, insulin, heart medicines, etc.).
  • Cancellations of advance orders must be made no later than 48 hours prior to the commencement of the programme, otherwise the full price of the booking will be charged.
